Another banner month in the books for the Brew Guide as we journeyed far and away…to MA and RI. Turns out I really enjoyed staying within an hour drive this month! Good thing is, even then I found a bunch of great places that you should visit.
In May, expect to see a couple more exotic locations, since someone got a bunch of PTO to burn before he loses it in July! Also in starting in May, there will no longer be a Friday Flight Plan. I do not plan on retiring it completely, but it will be more of a “fill in” when I can’t get to a brewery. I suggest following me on Instagram or Untappd for all my fun beer suggestions until then.
Let’s take the trip down memory lane…
Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing – Framingham, MA – Approved by the local running club and mom’s alike, enjoy a game of Uno and a pour of Hair Raiser DIPA.
Old Colony Brewing – Whitman, MA – Small town brewery done good, cool spot to hang out, catch a game and put it all on the Money Line IPA.
Bucket Brewery – Pawtucket, RI – Our second stop into Pawtucket hits the brewery named after it. Enjoy the Fireside Sweet Brown Ale and remember to use the buddy system getting to the bathroom.
Mystic Brewery – Chelsea, MA – The taproom with a little bit of a split personality, take a walk through the haunted house doors and enjoy the fantastic Saison Renaud farmhouse ale.
Dorchester Brewing Company – Dorchester, MA – Take the quick jump off 93 from some great house brews like the Savin Stout or some of the contract brews rarely available elsewhere.
Whalers Brewing Company – South Kingstown, RI – Step into the big new setup, complete with pool tables and giant jenga and pucker up to the Pleiades Weiss Sour.
Proclamation Ale Company – West Kingston, RI – Remember that fort in the woods you had as a child? It’s been adultified with a bar and some delicious beer, especially the Broze Stout w/ coffee.
And that’s all for April! See you in May with Sons Of Liberty.
